Demo is a design festival focused on innovation. A series of activities structured around experimental practices, focusing on the field of product design.

Demo offers a program of conferences, workshops, installations and product presentations by professionals of international scope, with the objective of sharing diverse ways of production and stimulating the sector discovering new creative practices.

25+ designers  8 talks  1 workshop  5 installations/exhibitions

The festival is organized by ADI-FAD, the Industrial Design Association of FAD. This year’s edition has been curated by Diego Ramos and Saúl Baeza.

Throughout the week, more than 25 national and international designers, young and consecrated, will participate in some of the activities of DEMO.

DEMO is committed to first-hand transmission of  knowledge and experiences. There is a conference scheduled every day of the week.

On Friday 19 May, four first-line international speakers will meet in the Auditorium of the Disseny Hub Barcelona.

Beyond words, DEMO is committed to material experimentation. Raw Color will host a weekend workshop for the general public, while other speakers will hold workshops for some of the partner universities (LCI Barcelona, Llotja and Elisava).

Dada Studios gallery will host a collective exhibition, while for the Museums Night 4 studios will present their process for the redesig of the “churro”.

This edition of DEMO showcases three installations by young designers in very different locations: a studio, a university and a restaurant.

Make your own tools. Hybridize your tools in order to build unique things. Even simple tools that are your own can yield entirely new avenues of exploration. Remember, tools amplify our capacities, so even a small tool can make a big difference.
Taking as a starting point this fragment of ``An Incomplete Manifesto for Growth`` by Canadian designer Bruce Mau, Raw Color's ``Circular Color Tools`` workshop aims to discover how to design and build new creative tools with which to generate graphic images based on color, Kinetic energy and rotation.
Participants should question the meaning and functionality of existing tools and machines to face a production process that focuses on experimentation and intuition. The goal is to generate a ``color tool`` of its own that, combined with other elements and objects, can create a new functionality.
